THINGS TO DO FOR THE QUILT SHOW:



1.    Get your quilts ready to exhibit



2.    Finish projects for the country store



3.    Consider baked goods for sale



4.    Whip up that special dessert



5.    Bring your brown bag gift from 2008



6.    Bring props



7.    Bring MEN & LADDERS



QUILT SHOW COMMITTEE:

We have 22 of 24 vendors committed.



Slinger Middle School will be open for us at 3:00 on Friday afternoon. Jan Krueger and Linda Marcou will be there Friday night to set up.



QUILT SHOW ENTRIES:

We have 148+ entries for the show.



QUILT SHOW FUTURE:

Our quilt show chairs- Louanne & Joanie, are stepping down after excellent leadership for past shows. We are looking for the next leaders and wondering if we will be doing this annually or going to a bi-annual show.



2010 OFFICERS:



It’s time to elect new blood…YOURS!



ROSEMONT OPENINGS:



There are still 10 openings for the trip to Rosemont.



CLASSES TO ATTEND:

Meadowbrook Manor is sponsoring a class for a folded origami quilt. Cost is $28. Sunday Nov. 15.



GUEST SPEAKERS FOR 2010:

Members are encouraged to search out new faces for guest speakers in 2010.



Some ideas…Nadine Buck from Fabric Corner (sewing without pins or Swedish weaving), Barbara Gross- beading on fabric.



Wisconsin has award winning quilters and speakers, we can always tap into that connection.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH (BOM):

 Lola won the block again this month. She brought in the November block called “Spring Meadows” to be done in spring colors.



BIRTHDAY BLOCKS

 Lola and Eunice have December birthdays to finish up 2009 Birthday Blocks. Start thinking of your 2010 patterns and join in as we can help you make that quilt you’ve always wanted to try!



50 STATES QUILT:

The quilt was on display at the WQHM Antique and Quilt show that was held this past weekend in Cedarburg.



FREEDOM QUILTERS:

We are soooo close to meeting our 100 block commitment to Freedom Quilters. Consider joining these wonderful quilting ladies in West Bend the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30- 8:30.



CHRISTMAS PARTY:

Riverside Brewery is the location destination for this year’s celebration. Don’t forget your brown bag gift!!



McQUILTERS:



Dave Hecker from the Ronald McDonald house was our guest speaker at the October meeting. RMH operates 365 days a year, are located in 48 states, 46 foreign countries, and have 284 houses world wide. The Milwaukee house has 38 rooms, 25 which are for stays of 60 days or less. (This is considered a “normal” stay). There is always a waiting

list.  Wisconsin has 3 houses, Milwaukee, Madison, & Marshfield. The pop tops have generated more than a million dollars for RMH since 2000. McQuilters are always looking for people…they meet the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month in the basement.
