TIES THAT BIND COMMITTEES:
It's that time again; time to think about the positions that are open for the 2009 calendar year.
The committee posts take a minimum of time and a little talent…consider volunteering this year to help make Ties That Bind a class-act quilt guild!!

Another excellent show. We've received several thank you notes and many wonderful, positive comments.
People are coming from out of state because of all the great publicity Joanie has put out!! Norma, Gayle, and Audrey were all ribbon winners!
Big sellers at the show: purses, pincushions, hot pads, bakery, jams/jellies, dog/cat items, clothespin bags & cookies.
50 STATES QUILT:
You helped make it, now help decide who we want to donate it to! Quilt History Museum…?? Ideas??

The guild will again have the best dues around, $10 gets you 12 months of fun!
JANUARY MEETING:
Will be a workshop by Tammy VanderBloomen Starting at 6pm, to 9pm. Supper from 5-6pm.
Bring needles, pencil, scissors, lightweight heat'n'bond (wonder under), pearl cotton. $20 for kit and materials. 8/10" circular project.

BROWN BAG EXCHANGE:
If you are planning to attend the Christmas dinner, bring your brown bag exchange present wrapped for your quilting sister.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH (BOM):
LaVerne presented "Quilt in a Day 9-Patch" that we will slash and re-sew in fall colors with a gold center. Nancy P won the floral windmills and will select the block for January.

Hard to believe, but we have almost completed our contribution pledge to the Quilt Museum.
OPERATION SNUGGLE WORKDAYS:
Ye Olde Schoolhouse Quilt Shop is the site on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Fridays, work starts at 10:00 am. Wisconsin Servicemen and women are shipping out again in the fall…finish those UFO projects and donate them to a child who will certainly cherish it!

May 2 -3, 2009 13th annual Quilt Show "Cabins in the Country" presented by the It's A Stitch Quilt Guild, Jackson, WI. This is a judged and non-judged competition. The show will feature log cabin quilts, demos, door prizes, vendor's mall, quilt appraisals and more. The show is located at: Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, 3399 Division Rd., Cty.
